    Who was the client?

Our client was the record label SpinninRecords, which features the Austrian participants for the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Italy with the music video. The stars of the song are DJ Luca Michlmayr and singer Pia Maria, who look forward to performing the song “Halo” in Turin with great élan. The idea of the halo as a phenomenon of light and the cheerful rhythms that make you want to dance had to be combined in an appealing music video.

What is shown in this teaser?

Against the backdrop of the magnificent staircase in the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna, the two performers show that they can set the mood even in the sacred spaces of a museum. They are accompanied by Godwin Merano of the Vienna State Ballet and five other dancers. Against an exquisite marble backdrop, the dancers move around the dynamic duo, flashing across the set with lightning fast footwork.

With the dancers twirling through the corridors in historical costumes, Luca and Pia perform their song in dark leather clothing. The force of the energy-charged song is reinforced by red laser effects that follow the dancers and immerse the black podium of the two contestants in a rocking halo. Marble busts and, in particular, all the imperial ambience of the museum form a reference to the philosophers and gods mentioned in the lyrics.

    What did filming take place?

Filming took place on the premises of the Kunsthistorisches Museum (KHM – museum of art history). The main scenes were filmed in the domed hall, on the grand staircase and in the corridors on the first floor. The KHM with its collection of old masters is one of the largest art museums in the world. In order not to disturb the flow of visitors, the scenes for the video were shot during the night. ➟ Visual Effects Vienna
