Where are you from and where do you live now?
I’m from and currently living in Vienna. For me one of the most livable cities in Europe.
What is the greatest masterpiece of film in your opinion?
A masterpiece for me is actually “The Godfather.” In every sense. A timeless work. For me, a film is a “masterpiece” when it concentrates 100% on its story, trusts it, and gives it time to unfold.
A highlight in your career?
An important film was definitely “3 Days in Quiberon”. Walking in the footsteps of Romy Schneider was an incredible experience. There was something mystical about shooting in places where she must have been. Situations like this make filmmaking the most beautiful thing in the world for me.
What else is your passion?
Film is my passion. I love finding cinematic answers.
A fun fact about you / Any guilty pleasure?
The first day of shooting is still very stressful for me. Despite all these years, on the 1st day of shooting a project, I’m still excited, can’t sleep, and feel insecure. Usually, this ends with the first shot. It doesn’t matter if it’s a short or a long shoot.
